Graphic Design - Level I
Graphic design has fascinated Marah since she was a child. Her interest in the field spawned from joining the journalism team during her sophomore year in High School. Marah held the position of main layout editor as well as the editor of photography. Her experience in graphic arts through journalism brought her to start a local art zine called “Niche.” Niche accepts all printable forms of art and is still alive today. “Graphic design is an avenue for me to be creative in a precise and calculable way which is something that is central to my persona,” Marah says. “I appreciate concision and simplicity while delivering a powerful message.” The art form of digital media is one of the hardest fields to execute well, but when the design falls into place, the end result is worth all of the work that was put into it.
Graphic Design - Level I
Araché has had experience with graphic design for 5 years. She began her involvement during her freshman year of high school where, initially, she chose the class to fulfill an elective requirement, but very quickly became inspired by it and stuck with it through all 4 years. She has worked on many projects including logos, house structures, movie designs, refurbishing photos, and more. She has always been interested in all forms of art, but graphic design really intrigues her because of the many different aspects there are to it. “There are so many different effects that are possible through the technology and assortment of computer programs,” she says. “While each project takes a lot of time, effort, hard work, and patience, the end result and customer satisfaction always makes it worthwhile.
Web Architect
Jaress started designing websites when he was in High School. He designed and ran his own personal blog for a while, utilizing only the bare bones of the what the internet had to offer. Not knowing that there was much more to it, he got bored and eventually disbanded his site. Not long afterwards, he started to discover the amazing power of the internet through web programming. The ability to create web pages that were database driven was a new concept to him. He worked very hard, learning as much as he could until he was proficient enough in a few databases, a few scripting languages, and object oriented programming techniques until he was able to start designing web pages at not only his job, but also for friends and family. “The ability to create web pages through database programming is an art form. Even though many web pages perform the same types of transactions, the end result that you get when you’re done can be completely different!” says Jaress. “Sometimes I can work on a particular problem for hours until I get it right, but once you get it, there’s a great deal of satisfaction not only from yourself, but from the people you are helping.” Jaress started Amazing Tech Guys in 2007 taking his passion for web programming and design to the next level. “I hope to give the internet world a great product for a great value, and I will not stop until that is achieved.”
